Life
/ Disability Insurance
Whole life insurance protects the insured person for an entire
lifetime. Term life insurance covers the insured person for a limited
period of time. Universal life insurance is increasingly popular coverage
that offers greater flexibility and addresses a wider range of needs.
Disability insurance is also known as wage loss or income security
insurance and usually takes the form of a monthly benefit paid to an
insured person who becomes disabled following an illness or injury.
Mortgage
Insurance
Mortgage insurance covers mortgage payments, in full or in part, in the
event of death or disability of the insured person. It is therefore
insurance that diminishes over time as your mortgage balance drops.
Critical
Illness
Critical illness insurance provides for a lump-sum payment, while the
insured person is still alive, following diagnosis of any of the critical
illnesses specified in the contract. Most commonly covered critical
illnesses and surgical procedures are: heart attacks, strokes, heart
surgery, life-threatening cancer, etc.
Charitable
Gifting
Utilize the life insurance and/or annuities as a bequest to your favorite charity.
Premiums are tax-deductible as a donation within prescribed limits and
the portion of annuity payments payable to charities is also tax
deductible.
